Join us for an all-day memorial event for 9/11. Starting with the Working Class Car Show from 11 to 3 where you can get up close to many of the amazing vehicles that we don't always get the opportunity to see! Heavy equipment, firetrucks, police cars, excavators, frontend loaders, a street sweeper, even a crane! This event will be fun for the whole family and there is no cost for entry! The working class car show is free admission.
We are partnering with our local United Way to help raise funds for their Emergency Relief Program. This program helps locals pay for things there is no other assistance for, such as utility bills, gas vouchers, and more.
We will also be welcoming donations of school supplies for kids in need heading back to school. After the back-to-school rush, most items should be on clearance!
GreyStone Coffee will have a tent set up selling coffee and treats during the working class car show!
Directly after the working class car show, there will be a processional to downtown Gaylord honoring our first responders at 4:00. Followed by a memorial ceremony under the pavilion at 4:15pm. Processional down to end the day with Freedom Fest held at the Ellison Place where there will be food and drinks from the Iron Pig as well as music, vendors, bounce houses, golf-a-palooza, and guest speaker, John Turnbull.
Join us Downtown Gaylord for a processional from our First Responder Memorial to The Ellison Place. We have over 200 flags we need carried to Freedom Fest to plant out front by 5pm.
